" One of the historical places in Sri Lanka "- "The Temple of the Tooth Relic.... "




The Temple of the Tooth Relic, also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, is one of the most sacred and important places in Sri Lanka. It is located in the beautiful city of Kandy, which is surrounded bymountains and a peaceful environment.


This temple is famous because it houses the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Buddhists from all over the world visit this holy place to worship and pay their respects. The temple is not only a religious site but also a symbol of Sri Lankan history, culture, and tradition.

The architecture of the temple is very beautiful and unique. It has traditional Kandyan style designs, golden decorations, and detailed carvings that attract visitors. The temple is located near the Kandy Lake, which adds more beauty and calmness to the surroundings.

Every day, special rituals called Thevava are held at the temple. During these ceremonies, devotees can offer flowers, light lamps, and pray. One of the most famous events related to the temple is the Esala Perahera. This grand festival includes traditional dancers, drummers, and beautifully decorated elephants, and it attracts both local and foreign visitors.

Personally, The Temple of the Tooth Relic is one of my favorite places also.. I visit there at least twice a year. Whenever I go there, my mind feels very calm. It is such a peaceful and serene place. When I think about it, I feel like any wish or prayer in my heart can come true from there.
