7. Uranus – An ice giant, Uranus rotates on its side and has a pale blue color due to methane in its atmosphere.

8. Neptune – The farthest planet from the Sun, Neptune is a cold, windy ice giant with striking blue color.


 Moons, Asteroids, and Comets

Our solar system also contains hundreds of moons orbiting planets, asteroids mainly found in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, and comets made of ice and dust that travel in elongated orbits around the Sun. These smaller objects provide clues about the formation of the solar system and the conditions of early space.
